RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A third younger juvenile was charged Friday in a Raleigh July Fourth shooting in the Brier Creek area as part of at least two “teen takeovers” that left 9 shot and that attracted thousands during the holiday weekend, police said Saturday.
Over a dozen arrests, citations after teen takeover at North Carolina school
Two weeks ago, a 16-year-old was arrested in the same incident where police said 3,000 teens gathered and two adult bystanders were injured in a shooting at the Brier Creek shopping center.
One week ago, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Durham County in the Brier Creek “takeover,” charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, delaying police, and simple drug possession, police said.
