RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The largest medical malpractice verdict for a certain type of birth injury was handed down in Wake County this month after attorneys say a doctor with WakeMed was negligent and permanently injured a baby during delivery.
A jury awarded $18.2 million to Naqah Lake and his mom after attorneys say that doctor at WakeMed used an improper maneuver during Lake’s birth.
