A party at an Airbnb rental home in southern Wake County ended in chaos Monday night after gunfire left three men and a 17-year-old shot and startled neighbors who say dozens of people fled the scene in cars.
The shooting happened at a home on Joe Leach Road near Lassiter Farm Road. The homeowner told ABC11 that the property was being rented through Airbnb at the time and that she had contacted law enforcement minutes earlier to shut the gathering down after neighbors reported multiple vehicles, possible drug use and guns on the property.
