The State of North Carolina has agreed to pay $200,000 to settle a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the mother of a Raleigh man killed in a 2024 crash involving a state trooper.
According to court records, the settlement stems from the death of 31-year-old Tyrone Mason on Capital Boulevard in October 2024.
