House Majority Leader Brenden Jones, R-Columbus, is promising an “immediate legislative response” after the Wake County Public School System stopped accepting challenges seeking the removal of library books that are not being used for classroom instruction.
The Wake County Board of Education approved changes to its process for challenging school materials on Sept. 15 as the district implements new requirements passed by the General Assembly this summer.
