A teen curfew ordinance has recently been shot down by Raleigh City Council members after being proposed due to a large teen takeover event that happened between Brier Creek and Glenwood South on July 4.
The “teen takeover” began as thousands of teens gathered at Brier Creek Shopping Center around the clock tower on July 4. The mass influx of teens overtook the venue that was originally hosting the Star Spangled Block Party to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday and the annual Brier Creek fireworks show.
