A beloved restaurant was named one of the best in the Triangle — but its time in the spotlight wasn’t over.
Cheeni, located in Durham, now ranks as the No. 1 Indian restaurant in North Carolina. The dining destination reigned supreme as food and drink website Tasting Table scoured Yelp reviews, Reddit posts and other sources to determine the top place to eat Indian food in each state.
“Indian food is as diverse as it is delectable, and so narrowing down the best Indian restaurant in every state is challenging,” Tasting Table wrote in its report published in September. “Still, we took up the task and curated this list using online customer reviews, local press, and awards received by each restaurant.”
