Crews searching for possible missing person after Wake County ejection crash near Zebulon

ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — Crews were helping to search for a person possibly ejected during a Wake County wreck late Sunday night near Zebulon, officials said.

The crash was reported around 9:25 p.m. in the 4400 block of Hopkins Chapel Road at the intersection of Dukes Lake Road, off N.C. 96 and north of Zebulon.

Deputies from the Wake County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the scene to assist the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The Hopkins Rural Fire Department was also sent to the scene to help search for a person who was possibly ejected and possibly missing following the crash, officials said.

Hopkins Chapel Road was closed as of 11 p.m.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
