On Monday, Belichick made his first recruiting visit, meeting with four-star edge rusher Zavion Griffin-Haynes at his high school.

Griffin-Haynes, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect from Rolesville, North Carolina, is ranked as the No. 161 national prospect in the Class of 2026, the No. 12 edge rusher, and the No. 9 prospect in North Carolina, according to 247Sports Composite rankings . Griffin-Haynes had decommitted from UNC on Nov. 26, the same day former head coach Mack Brown was fired.
