Members of the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities will gather in Raleigh on Wednesday, part of a broad effort to engage state lawmakers on issues impacting Black and brown people across the state.
“Protecting elections and otherwise preserving democracy are matters of priority, as well as health care access and education equity,” the event’s organizer, the North Carolina Black Alliance, said in a statement.
