Raleigh Launches Business Bloom Program to Support Immigrant Entrepreneurs

The City of Raleigh is nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit with its latest offering, Business Bloom, a program aimed at empowering immigrants, refugees, and new Americans with the necessary skills and connections to thrive in the local economy. As noted on the City of Raleigh’s official announcement, Business Bloom is an eight-week course designed to provide practical training in business and innovation and introduces participants to the ins and outs of registering their venture in North Carolina’s capital.

Targeting individuals in the Raleigh area, the program is a boon for those comfortable in English and either have a business idea or are looking to expand a home-based business. Alongside expert-led training sessions, attendees will receive one-on-one mentorship, from local business leaders, and a platform for networking with peers. Despite a clear focus on knowledge dissemination, participants must also be ready to commit to two evening trainings per week, one virtual and the other in-person, starting September 8.

Forward-thinking in its approach, Business Bloom also fosters a sense of community among aspiring entrepreneurs.
