AMBER Alert Issued for Valeria Jackeline Gonzalez Hernandez Last Seen at Raleigh Bus Station

An Amber Alert has been activated for Valeria Jackeline Gonzalez Hernandez, a 13-year-old girl from Surry County who was last observed on June 25 at a bus station on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, according to CBS17. Standing 4’11” tall, weighing 180 pounds, and outfitted in a black shirt, black pants, and white sneakers, Hernandez’s current whereabouts remain unknown. She was seen carrying two bags, one beige and the other darker, possibly black.

The investigation, which previously did not fit the criteria for an Amber Alert, developed new leads, prompting the collaboration with the FBI and NCSBI. According to WRAL, after her reported disappearance from her home in Mount Airy, sheriff’s deputies conducted interviews and canvassed the neighborhood without success in locating her. On Wednesday, the Raleigh Police Department stressed that the search for Hernandez is an active and ongoing investigation.

Surry County officials, who described the teen as having brown hair and brown eyes, have turned to the State Bureau of Investigation for assistance. Surveillance footage shows Valeria at the Raleigh bus station, leading to the belief that she may have been picked up by an unidentified person.
