For the Charlotte area, overnight and early Saturday morning won’t be as soggy as early Friday morning was. Scattered showers and storms will remain possible Saturday in the mountains and foothills. A cold front arrives Sunday and will provide a greater chance area-wide for scattered showers and storms. Following that front, much cooler and drier air will take over next week.

In central North Carolina and along the coast, we’ll see a few more clouds Saturday and the nice temperatures will continue. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with overnight lows in the 60s.
