NEW HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — A proposed data center in New Hill is drawing opposition from nearby residents, who say the project could strain the power grid and drive up electricity bills.
Developers tout the possible data center as a boost for technology and high-wage jobs, but for Lorraine McAvoy, rising energy costs are already a burden.
