61-year-old man killed in hit-and-run while waiting at Durham bus stop

Police are searching for a driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 61-year-old man on Saturday.

According to Durham police, just before 10:45 p.m., a pedestrian was standing near the bus stop in front of the 900 block of Chalk Level Road when they were hit by an unknown vehicle driving west on Chalk Level Road.

Officers said an investigation found that the suspect’s vehicle went off the road to the left, hit two signs and a pedestrian before driving away from the scene…
