DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — An arrest was made Tuesday in connection with a deadly pedestrian hit-and-run in Durham over the weekend, according to the Durham Police Department.
Police said 61-year-old Richard Ferguson Jr. of Durham was standing near a bus stop in front of the 900 block of Chalk Level Road when he was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Sept. 13. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation determined the vehicle went off the left side of the road, hitting the victim and two signs before fleeing the scene, according to Durham police…
