Debra Deloatch was the lucky holder of a $5 scratch-off ticket that led to a $200,000 win, as confirmed by the North Carolina Education Lottery. According to CBS 17, Deloatch purchased her “5 Times Lucky” ticket from a local business, K&B Sabri Inc., located on Poole Road in Raleigh.
The win was no doubt a surprising twist of fate for Deloatch, who after necessary deductions for state and federal taxes, netted a takeaway of $143,501. It seems that lady luck isn’t entirely out of surprises yet, the “5 Times Lucky” game still has three of its original five top prizes up for grabs, as reported by NC Lottery.
