A Zebulon man was arrested early Saturday morning after authorities say he led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash near Lizard Lick Road.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Victor Manuel Rios was taken into custody at the intersection of U.S. 64 and Lizard Lick Road following a pursuit that reached speeds of up to 139 miles per hour.
Deputies said the chase began along Interstate 87 near Wendell Boulevard before continuing east on U.S. 64, where the speed limit is 70 miles per hour…
