N.C. man’s haircut appointment ends with $100,000 lottery prize

Oct. 28 (UPI) — A North Carolina man who stopped to get some cash to pay for a haircut ended up winning a $100,000 lottery prize during his brief visit to a convenience store.

Durham resident Oscar Galdamez Rosales told North Carolina Education Lottery officials there wasn’t much special about the first part of his Saturday.

“It was just a usual Saturday at first,” he said. “I had a haircut.”

Rosales discovered after his trim that he didn’t have any cash to pay the barber, so he popped over to the Lighthouse Food Mart on Holloway Street in Durham…
