Raleigh Water Announces Temporary Suspension of Payment Services to Launch New Billing Portal

Raleigh residents are due for a short intermission in their utility payment capabilities starting Nov. 7, as Raleigh Water prepares to launch a new customer billing portal, an update aimed at improving user experience with a more intuitive and secure interface. As reported by Raleigh Water, the current billing system will be offline from 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 through Nov. 11, with the anticipation that full services will resume on the morning of Nov. 12.

During this scheduled outage, customers won’t have access to regular payment channels, including online, in-person, and over-the-phone transactions, and they can’t request for services to start, stop, or transfer, those needing financial assistance will find that the processing for such (Project Share initiatives included) is put on hold; additionally, customer support will operate with limited access to account details, although the emergency hotline will stay functional for those emergencies that can’t wait. As stated on the official Raleigh Water news update, “Emergency services: Emergency calls, dispatching, and emergency service turn-ons will continue as usual.”…
