The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a woman in connection with a fraud investigation involving an elderly woman.
The investigation started Oct. 10 when the woman called deputies to report fraud. The woman reported that $80,000 had been stolen from her. She said it happened after someone contacted her, claiming there was an issue with her online payment system.
