GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — Flags flew at half staff Monday outside the WakeMed Garner Healthplex emergency room, where Officer Roger Smith was shot and killed in the line of duty Saturday.
Garner police say the shooting suspect, Benji Martin, Jr., 29, was also hit by gunfire during a scuffle with Smith.
