Power knocked out for nearly 1,500 people in north Raleigh, officials say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Emergency crews are investigating what led to power equipment going offline, leading to well over a thousand people losing power Friday morning in north Raleigh.

According to Duke Energy, the outage was first reported around 6:50 a.m. near the intersection of Six Forks Road and Newton Road.

The outage map said that 1,440 Duke Energy customers currently do not have power in that area, which nearly spans between Lead Mine Road and Falls of Neuse Road…
