3 displaced after numerous departments rush to house fire in North Carolina, officials say

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A home was severely damaged after a fire just after midnight Sunday on the outskirts of Wake Forest.

According to the Wake County Fire Marshal, the initial responding crew got to the scene around 12:20 a.m. on the 5600 block of Mitchell Mill Road. They reported the back half of the house was fully engulfed by fire.

The fire marshal reported the bulk of the damage was in the back of the house and three people were displaced due to the fire.

It took five different departments to put out the fire, including Wake New Hope, Rolesville, Zebulon, Knightdale and Wake Forest.
