CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — The Wake County Board of Education has put in a revised policy to keep students focused in school. The board said the new cell phone policy balances digital access with learning and students’ well-being.
The statewide guideline is shifting away from students having their phones just on silent to shutting their phones off completely from the first bell to the last. That means phones must stay in a locker, bag or backpack not visible or accessible.
