Nearly 70 graduates from Wake Tech’s Martha Mann School of Nursing are expected to join the health care workforce in Wake County, North Carolina, after their graduation in December 2025. The graduates attended a pinning ceremony at the Perry Health Sciences Campus, held one day before their official commencement. The event marked the completion of the nursing program, which aims to prepare students for the growing need for nurses in the area.
Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls spoke at the ceremony. He acknowledged the graduates’ commitment to the nursing field and noted the important role nurses play in the community. Dean of Nursing Anne Jones-Sutton also addressed the group, stating that their education is the start of ongoing learning and service.
At the ceremony, each graduate received a nursing pin, a lamp, a red rose, and a copy of the Florence Nightingale pledge. These items are traditional symbols in nursing.
