Over the past weekend, the Raleigh Police Department led a DWI saturation patrol along Capital Boulevard, from I-40 to downtown Raleigh. The operation included local police, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney’s Office, MADD, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
The patrol resulted in 130 charges. These included 10 DWI arrests, 104 traffic stops, and violations such as speeding, drug offenses, and driving with a revoked license. The initiative was part of ongoing efforts to address traffic safety and reduce crime during the holiday season…
