GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — When you think of December weather, the first thing that comes to mind likely isn’t a tornado, but that’s exactly what Garner saw on this date back on December 10, 2023.
The EF-1 tornado had winds estimated at 110 miles per hour and remained on the ground for around four minutes along its 1.5-mile journey.
The radar image on that Sunday showed a clear hook echo as the storm pushed northeast towards Garner, indicating where the rotation was.
