Viral Tiktok helps Durham Salvation Army fill Angel Tree needs

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The Durham Salvation Army sent out an urgent message for help after learning 150 children were not adopted from the Angel Tree. However, after a heartfelt TikTok went viral, gifts are now pouring in from across North Carolina and even out of state.

Dessari Langston said she sponsored five angels in her hometown of Morehead City and rushed over to Durham after she heard there was still a need.

“I picked a little girl and she wanted Minnie Mouse, and she wanted a kitchen. I hit the jackpot and found a Minnie Mouse kitchen. I’m really excited to be able to give someone their wish for Christmas,” said Langston…
