An Amazon delivery service provider based in the Wake County town of Garner shut down with little or no notice, putting 160 delivery drivers and support staff out of work.
I Squared Logistics notified the state on Tuesday that it had let the employees go on Monday, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the N.C. Department of Commerce.
“Advance notice could not be provided because circumstances arose that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time notice would otherwise have been required,” owner Brad Patel wrote in the state filing.
