Holly Springs, NC, Dec. 17, 2025 — More than five months after the Town Council approved Wegmans’ final allowable plan extension, the grocery chain says it remains committed to building in Holly Springs, but with a revised internal timeline and updated plans still in progress.
In a statement provided to Holly Springs Update today, Wegmans said its construction schedule has shifted as other projects have moved forward and as the company has made minor design adjustments based on lessons learned from other North Carolina locations.
“We continue to be excited about the Holly Springs market and remain committed to building a store there,” wrote Marcie Rivera, Public Relations for Wegmans Food Markets, in response to an email inquiry from HSU. “Our construction timeline has shifted as other projects have come online, and minor updates have been incorporated into the store’s design.”…
