CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — A Cary man’s Christmas light display is dazzling visitors and lighting up social media, all while raising money for children battling cancer.
Rick Grandinetti’s holiday display features roughly 270,000 Christmas lights, inflatables, and even the leg lamp from “A Christmas Story”. The elaborate display has gone viral, racking up more than 150 million views on TikTok and Instagram.
And it’s all for a good cause: to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Grandinetti said it started as a way to honor his late father, who had a deep connection to St. Jude.
“I have two healthy daughters, two healthy sons-in-law, and I have a brand-new grandson,” he said. “They’re all healthy. I can’t imagine them having cancer. And I just want to help what I can. That’s why I do it…
