Apex firefighters responded to multiple small fires along US-1 south of NC 540, the Town of Apex Fire Department reported on social media. Fire stations in the area deployed Engine 34, Engine 32, Engine 31, Engine 35, Ladder 34, Battalion 6, and Brush 32 to contain the flames.
