NORTH CAROLINA — Two separate stabbing incidents early Saturday morning in Wake County left at least three people injured, according to law enforcement officials.
The first incident was reported just after midnight in Knightdale. According to the Knightdale Police Department, officers were notified after a man walked into WakeMed seeking treatment for a stab wound. The victim told officers he had been walking near Walmart when another man approached him and asked for a light.
Police said the interaction escalated into a physical altercation, during which the victim reported being robbed of some personal belongings. The man told officers he believed his injuries were sustained during the fight. Authorities said the injuries were not life-threatening.
