While crews across Raleigh worked to clear roads after the winter storm, many residents bundled up and headed outside to make the most of their snow day.
At the Lake Lynn sledding hill, people got creative with whatever they could find to sled. One of the more creative rides belonged to Alyssa Corrado, who grabbed her laundry basket when stores ran out of sleds.
“Honestly, everything else was sold out,” Corrado said. “So we actually came out here last weekend with his laundry basket, and we tore it up to pieces. This is the only thing that’s left. We looked everywhere for sledding, and everything was out. And it works. It works. So why not?”…
