One person was killed Sunday in an early-morning crash on Interstate 40 between Raleigh and Garner.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol says a Lexus was traveling eastbound on I-40 at 2:04 a.m. near the Jones Sausage Road exit when it ran off the road to the right. The passenger car hit a disabled box truck that was pulled over on the shoulder waiting for roadside assistance.
A passenger in the Lexus died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision. The victim’s name has not yet been released…
