The conversation on the anger of court-storming has reared its head again after UNC beat rival Duke in the final second of the game in Chapel Hill. Once the game hit the final buzzer, fans stormed onto the court before the refs, and the Blue Devils couldn’t even get out of the way.
After the game, Duke’s head coach made a big deal about how unsafe the court storming was and made a claim that multiple members of his staff were punched in the face before getting off the court. Those claims ended up being false, but either way, the conversations about the safety of court storming rage on.
For the Kansas Jayhawks, they never seem to be in the conversation as court storming never happens in Allen Fieldhouse, and head coach Bill Self made it known they just never will.
