Kipos Greek Taverna in Chapel Hill’s Eastgate Crossing shopping center will officially reopen for business Saturday, Feb. 21. The restaurant will celebrate the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce at 4:30 p.m., with dinner service beginning at 5 p.m.
Kipos, along with several other businesses in the area, has been closed since last July due to flooding across the Eastgate property from Tropical Depression Chantal.
“We’ve been deeply touched by the loyalty and resilience of our community,” Giorgios Hospitality Group, which owns Kipos, said in a release Friday. “We are eternally grateful for the continued encouragement and look forward to welcoming each and every guest with open arms.”…
