FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — A serious assault has turned fatal in southern Wake County, according to arrest warrants.
A juvenile suspect, 16-year-old Jackson Dylan Borrello, has been arrested and charged with killing a 12-year-old girl in an assault that took place Monday at 5:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of Tobacco Barn Road in Fuquay-Varina.
In addition to felony murder in the girl’s death, Borrello has also been charged with the serious assault of a 9-year-old boy. In an update Tuesday afternoon, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the boy is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
