Cary is rolling out two projects this spring to make its greenways safer and more enjoyable. Now through mid-April, crews are adding artistic centerline striping along parts of the Black Creek and White Oak Creek greenways. The new markings will boost visibility around curves and underpasses while giving the trails a distinctive look. Greenways will stay open, though some short lane closures may occur.
At the same time, Cary is installing 10 new Eco-Counters on heavily used trails to track how people walk and bike throughout the year. These devices count users and measure travel patterns without collecting personal data. The information helps the Town plan future improvements…
