🌿 Volunteer to Remove Invasive Plants at Apex Community Park, Mar 29

Help keep Apex’s natural spaces healthy! On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the Town of Apex and SWANEC (Southern Wake Area Native Ecosystem Conservation) are hosting an Invasive Plant Removal Workday at Apex Community Park (1808 Lake Pine Drive). Volunteers will hand-pull invasive plants like Japanese stiltgrass, English ivy, and honeysuckle from the wooded area near the lake trail entrance. No chemicals will be used. Gloves and tools will be provided, but you can bring your own if you prefer. It’s a great way to protect local ecosystems and enjoy the outdoors with neighbors.
