A Sunday night stabbing on a usually quiet stretch near downtown Raleigh sent one man to the hospital and briefly turned Idlewild Avenue into an active crime scene, as police moved quickly to arrest a suspect at the home where it happened. Officers say the man was stabbed in the stomach during a domestic dispute and is expected to recover.

According to WRAL, officers were called to a home on Idlewild Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed in the stomach.
