No. 23 Duke Battles No. 12 Virginia in ACC Series

DURHAM, N.C. – No. 23 Duke softball is set to battle No. 12 Virginia in a three-game conference series beginning Thursday at Smith Family Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Duke (25-11, 10-2 ACC) closes out its seven-game homestand this weekend after hosting No. 19 Stanford and Campbell. The Blue Devils secured their fourth conference series victory after a thrilling 17-14 walkoff win over the Cardinal Sunday afternoon. Duke collected eight home runs from five Blue Devils to account for 16 of Duke’s 17 runs. The eight home runs marked a season-high for the Blue Devils and the most in a game since the Blue Devils launched 10 against James Madison on April 12, 2022.

The Blue Devils then rolled past Campbell, 7-1, Tuesday night as graduate student Tyrina Jones and redshirt junior Jessica Oakland blasted two-run home runs to guide the offense. The duo combined to drive in five of the seven Duke runs while batting 1-for-3 and 2-for-4, respectively…
