Raleigh woman shares eating disorder recovery journey, to speak at Wake County rally

A Raleigh woman is sharing her decades-long recovery from an eating disorder through a new memoir and public advocacy, hoping her story can help others facing similar struggles.

Johanna Scoglio’s book, “When the Water Still Holds Me: Letters Through the Tides of a Long Term Eating Disorder,” is written as a series of personal letters reflecting on her life, illness and healing.
