Hitachi Energy Plans Cary, North Carolina, Operations

Energy technology company Hitachi Energy plans to establish operations in Cary, North Carolina. The $10 million project is expected to create 150 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a new 32,000-square-foot Power Electronics Center of Competence which will be focused on the development of devices that enable customers to increase transmission capacity without building new power lines, while enhancing the stability and resilience of large, complex electrical networks.
