Members of the Davie County FFA Chapter earned top honors at the North Carolina FFA State Livestock Judging Contest, bringing home the state champion title after competing against teams from across the state. The event was held at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh on March 31.
Team members included Lyla Sapp, Emma True, Aubree Barnhardt and Calleigh Colbert. Sapp placed as the second-highest individual, with True close behind her as 10th-highest individual. The team will represent North Carolina at the National FFA Contest in Indianapolis this October.
