Mark Pope enters the race for UNC’s top in-state target, but fans should not worry

North Carolina has been involved in the Jordan Page sweepstakes for quite some time.

While Hubert Davis was the one to extend the initial offer, there’s no reason why Michael Malone and the new-look staff won’t be interested as well for one of the top players in the Class of 2027.

Of course, Page has a long line of other suitors, as a fellow Blue Blood has jumped into the equation.

Pope and the Wildcats have extended an offer to Page in hopes of adding him to their future backcourt. While an offer from Kentucky in the past might have scared Tar Heel fans a bit, there shouldn’t be concern just yet given the circumstances surrounding what’s going on with the Wildcats…
