CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The State Highway Patrol trooper killed on Route 11 in Mahoning County last week was a Canton native. Trooper Nicholas Cayton was born here in 1985, growing up in New Harrisburg in Carroll County and graduating from Carrollton High School in 2004.
