AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The Akron Police Department is mourning the loss of retired K-9, Midnite. According to police, Midnite passed away at 15 and half years old. Midnite joined the department in January 2011 and was a partner of Street Narcotics Uniform Detail (SNUD) with Detective Alan Jones (retired).
