People across the Capital Region are dealing with a rise in car break-ins as police say suspects are checking neighborhoods for unlocked vehicles. Green Island police said they saw at least 20 car break-ins in one week in September. Police said most involved unlocked cars and neighbors said in some cases nothing was stolen.
